Parenting in recent years has been informed more by cultural trends than biblical standards. As our culture has emphasized subjectivism, placing the individual at the center of knowledge, emotions have become the arbiter of authority. This has led to tragic consequences. The concept of “gentle parenting” has become a norm among Millennial parents. The method avoids discipline for fear of harming the children or breaking their spirits.
