Hebrews 5 | Greater High Priest

Hebrews 5 explains the nature of Christ ‘s Priesthood. He is not a Levite after the order of Aaron. Rather, His priesthood both predates and postdates the Law of Moses because His priesthood is eternal. Hebrews 5 describes Jesus as a priest after the order of Melchizedek, the priest/king to whom Abram paid tithe and from whom he received blessing. Jesus is a greater High Priest.

Hebrews 4 | Greater High Priest

Hebrews 4 teaches us how Christ is the greatest high priest. The Holy of Holies was once limited to a short visit from the high priest. Now, all who are in Christ, our Great High Priest, can body approach God directly! Moreover, God has given us HIs Word which reveals hearts and cuts deep to the division of soul and spirit.

Hebrews 2 | A Greater Message And A Greater Adam

Hebrews is all about the supremacy of Christ. Chapter 2 explains how the message of the gospel is a greater message than that which was delivered to the Old Testament believers. Moreover, Christ is greater than the first man (Adam) who sinned as Christ is the perfect man who exercises perfect dominion over creation!
