First Trust

At Restoration, we have 3 steps for connecting with God: Experience, Trust, Follow.  We invite people to experience the love of God and his people by just hanging around. People have the opportunity to "come and see" as was Philip's invitation to Nathaniel (John 1:46).  People see God at work in the lives of His people and hear the Truth of the gospel in different conversations.  Questions are asked and answered.

Yesterday, a friend of mine went from merely experiencing Jesus to Trusting Him.  There was no emotive music in the background, no printed literature, no pressure.  The Holy Spirit was gently drawing her to Jesus and gently nudging me to ask her if she wanted to Trust Him right there.

She did.  The Angels in Heaven rejoiced.  Yesterday was a good day.

I won't share the details of her story here, because I don't want to steal her thunder.  But, it is powerful.  God has moved providentially throughout her whole life to bring her to Himself.  His hand has been on her in miraculous ways.

I just wanted to share the good news.  She is the first person put her trust in Jesus in connection to Restoration.  She has never been to one of our gatherings.  Someone form our church simply connected with her and invited her into relationship with Jesus.  This is how it is supposed to happen, and I believe she will be the first of many who put their trust in Jesus in connection to Restoration.

For now, celebration is in order.  Thank you for praying.  Thank you for supporting.  Thank you for being a part of advancing the Kingdom of God.

God is good.
