Apologetic for the Abolition of Abortion | Genesis 1:26-27 | Matthew 28:18-20
Many opportunities to defend the biblical case for the abolition of abortion are likely to arise in the wake of the upcoming Supreme Court Decision: Dobbs v. Jackson. The decision could overturn both Roe v. Wade and Casey v. Planned Parenthood. Pastor Daniel Samms teaches on the biblical case for life (Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 9, Matthew 28:18-20) and how to respond to challenges from the anti-life culture. Central to our response is the gospel message. We are commanded to rescue those being led away to slaughter (Proverbs 24), and God condemns authorities who enact evil decrees (Isaiah 10). We see a clear distinction between the culture of death which promotes murder and seeks to diminish the image of God and the culture of life which seeks to see the image of God multiply in the world (Proverbs 8:35-36, Romans 1:18ff, Genesis 9).
